Romantic Bridal Editorial Along the Coast of Massachusetts

On a late summer day in Boston, eight female wedding vendors got together to create an editorial bridal photoshoot. Simplicity, femininity and movement were our 3 key words for inspiration. I originally had planned this shoot with the idea it would be a warm summer evening. However, New England weather had a different plan. Instead we had gloomy and cloudy skies. On the bright side, with lots of clouds, comes lots of wind! And wind was exactly what we needed.

We also wanted to celebrate the color of the year - ultra violet. Our makeup artist, Najeema gave our model Julia a soft yet bold purple eyeshadow and a perfect pink lip. Our floral designer, Katie of Berry Branch Design, crafted organic and romantic florals which also sported pops of pink and purple. Flowers were also included in Julia’s up-do done by Haley Joy Page. Additional florals and greenery played a huge role in showcasing the invitation suite by Amanda of Designs AS You Wish. As a nod to Boston, Amanda also included an original painting of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

Julia with Maggie Agency, stunned in a signature Katie Fong bridal gown paired with the most gorgeous cape. If this doesn’t convince more brides to opt for capes instead of veils, I don’t know what will! As a classically trained ballet dancer, Julia’s effortless movements combined with the amazing wind, all came together in a way that really highlighted the simplicity and shape of the KF gown.  All the little details, including flat-lays, were made possible by our talented stylist and event designer, Alli of My Sunday Afternoon. We hope this shoot inspires the simple and bold bride!!
